How many is too many affiliate programs?

When you're starting out, stick with a handful of affiliate products that you really believe in (AND that fit within your niche). Signing up for everything you can and sticking banners all over your website will not convert to sales, however, taking one or two affiliate products that you're excited about telling others about -- that's a recipe for success.
